Dublin High School hosts an annual independent Special Olympics event through the Tri-Valley Schools Partnership of the Special Olympics of Northern California, in which over 600 special needs students participate. Ball sports like basketball and soccer require a complex understanding of movement and coordination, thereby excluding students with more severe disabilities from participating. For this reason, our team plans to implement SpORT, the Special Olympics Robotic Thrower, to include students of all capabilities
